Madeline's 9th birthday preparations have started.  All decorations handmade by yours truly. Pretty cute, huh?

365 Pics- Day 11

OK-so here is the other side that I think is done. Yes? No? I love it except I want a new plate holder upper. The one shown is actually for a book but it was all I had. And it totally doesn't go with the other side or at least the start of the other side. I had to take down the Eli pic on the other side since I took down the Madeline pic on this side. AND I think it may be too birdcentric. I did bring in the green candles to play off the green trees on the other side but I think the bird on a wire pic that Chad drew is too bright to fit in. Ugh. This is so much harder than I thought it would be. Suggestions?


P.S. I got that rockin' plate and bird nest and eggs at Pottery Barn with gift cards I had today. Have you seen all their bird stuff?? Love it!!

We got free tickets to MonsterJam at Wells Fargo Arena tonight. It was a little bit of fun. There is way more waiting around for the trucks to do their stuff than anything else. We did get to see one of them get a flat tire. And one little dune buggy thing tipped over. That was pretty exciting. The absolute best part was seeing Gravedigger (the most famous monster truck in the world) go nuts during his freestyle routine and then he tipped over at the very end. It was thrilling! For some reason I couldn't get my collage pics in order...boo...so the tipped GD is the first pic but that happened last. We think the announcer might have been drunk. He kept announcing the wrong truck as the winner of the different events. Pretty lame.

I have wanted to take the kids to MonsterJam for a long time and now I can check it off my list! Super bonus that we didn't have to pay for it. I think I would have been a bit dissappointed if I had paid money to see them.

In 3 weeks it is the Super Bull rodeo!! I can't wait!

365-Day 7

I am redoing the decor on the shelves that are on both sides of one of the windows in our living room. Here is what I came up with on one side. I love the pop of color and those trees are so much fun. Plus the painting that my honey did last year. And nothing is cuter than my baby Eli. But I think something is missing. What do you think?

Bitterly cold...that is our weather forecast for the next 6 days and it has been bitterly cold for several days already. This is the inside of our front door. Meaning this is IN our living room. Please don't lick it. That would be a disaster.

Day 1-Found these at Michael's on clearance. Super cheap and super cute!

Day 2-Lola and her stuffed animal carcass. She pulls out all the fluff and then drags the "skin" around. She has several and they are all her favorites.
