Praise God from whom all blessings flow...

Chad is in Cedar Rapids doing an install (I think he is installing phones?) He called me this afternoon and said that his boss called him and he wanted Chad to call him when he was leaving CR. Chad had a few minutes to spare this afternoon so he called Jeff back. Jeff then goes on to tell Chad that they laid off five people today-3 sales people, 1 presales engineer, and 1 data tech (what Chad does.) Chad's heart sank waiting for Jeff to tell him that he was the one. Chad is the newest data tech and it would have made total sense that he would be the first to go. It wasn't Chad. As soon as Chad told me it wasn't him I was shaking and in tears, thanking our Father in Heaven for His provision!!

It hit so close to home that we could be affected by this jacked up economy. Chad could have lost his job today. But he didn't. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you Jesus!!!

wow manda, praise god. mark was talking today about other colleges cutting positions, pulling from peoples retirement and such and saying that he was so thankful that university of dubuque is preparing other ways, by having each dept just cut their budget. praise god he is still employed and doesn't work at another school! it is weird when it does hit closer to home.
