GOD is SO GOOD!!

This is so crazy! I love how God blesses His children in the most unexpected ways.

We have a van of the miniature variety. A 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. My mom-mobile. The check engine light came on last week and I paniced. We have our Disney vacation in 3 weeks. We don't have a lot of extra cash to put into this van but we also want it to be able to drive us half way across the country and back. So I took it in. Our spark plugs were misfiring. They were replaced and we had some maintenance done as well in anticipation of it being our mode of transportation for 40+ hours in the coming weeks. I drove out of the dealer's lot $350 poorer. Not bad. That was Tuesday.

Fast forward to Friday. I am driving Madeline to school and the check engine light comes on again. GRRRR! WHAT?? I was WAY panicing but thinking "Y'know what? God is good and it will be okay." Chad took it in that morning for them to run the diagnostics. He was on his way out of town for the men's retreat at church. (He had a great time, btw.) They said it was a mis firing fuel injector but warranty would cover it but it would take awhile to fix. SO, Chad brought the van home so I would have something to drive for the weekend and we would take the van back Monday morning for them to fix it.

Monday morning I took it in for what was supposed to be a 3 hour fix job on our fuel injectors. They called Chad and said that the plate that the fuel injectors work from (I probably have this all wrong but it was something like that-ha!) was cracked and it would need to be replaced as well. You won't get your van back until tomorrow (which is today!). Ugh. Thankfully my mom loaned us her car until we get the van back. (My mom is a total rock star!)

So today I get another call from Chip (our car guy) and he says (paraphrased) "Mrs. Miller, we got working on replacing the blah blah blah and the blah blah blah blah has expanded from the heat too much so we are replacing your engine for free. *excited laugh*" I was freaking out! WHAT? You are going to replace the entire engine of our 4 year old van for free?? How can that be? And you are going to give us a rental car until it will be fixed?? Chip (I love that guy) was laughing and just kept saying "Yes! Yes! Yes!" after every question. I think he was just as excited as I was.

So, there you have it. We were entering the season of a van's life where things just keep getting broken and need to be fixed which can get very expensive but God has taken care of all of that by providing us with a new engine. He is SO GOOD!!!

Thank you, Jesus!!! Your provision astounds me!
